Digital transformation and business model in management & business research: An overview and future perspectives
Purpose: This study explores the evolution of digital transformation (DT) within the context of business and management, focusing on the integration of cloud computing and evolving business models.
Design/Methodology/Approach: Employing bibliometric analysis through the Scopus database, the research provides a comprehensive review of literature, analyzing the interplay among digital transformation, cloud computing, and business models.
Findings: The findings reveal a significant interconnection between DT and business models (BM), highlighting the role of cloud computing in facilitating DT. The study uncovers emerging trends and patterns, emphasizing the increasing importance of BM and cloud computing in the context of DT.
Practical Implications: The research offers valuable insights for businesses adapting to digital transformation, emphasizing the need for strategic realignment in response to technological advancements and evolving customer expectations.
Originality/Value: This study contributes to the understanding of DT’s dynamic progression, providing a framework for analyzing the relationships between DT, BM, and cloud computing, and highlighting the impact of these relationships on business strategies and operations in the digital age.
